Horsefair Surgery Open Day

Tuesday 22nd August between 8.30am & 6.00pm

Following a CQC re-inspection in May, the subsequent media coverage and the resignation of the Partners, our Patient Participation Group felt it would be a good opportunity to give patients of Horsefair a chance to pop in and find out what is actually happening with their surgery.

This is your opportunity to ask any questions, raise any concerns and dispel the rumours you are hearing.

As well as members of the PPG, Fiona and Julia, Horsefair's new management team, will be on hand to answer to your questions and listen to your concerns.

We look forward to seeing you.

About Us

Welcome to our Practice

Horsefair Surgery moved to its new, purpose built premises 300 metres from Banbury Cross in February 2009.

Practice Facilities

Free patient car parking, including disabled parking, at South Bar House is available for 30 minutes. If you would like to extend your stay by 90 minutes to allow time for your appointment or for collecting any prescriptions from the Pharmacy, please enter your vehicle registration details at one of the electronic notepads available in Cox and Robinson Pharmacy or at the Surgery.

Parking at the Middleton Cheney branch surgery is permitted, without restriction, in Horton Road outside the Surgery.

History

The practice was established at the beginning of the last century when health care provision was very different. Then, only the wealthy enjoyed good medical care; now it is the right of all.

The population of Banbury at that time was 12,768 compared to 42,205 now. Then, two practices served the town, now there are seven with twenty-eight principals in general practice.
