Equality and Diversity

The Practice has an Equality and Diversity Policy and all staff receive training to ensure compliance and up to date knowledge. If you have any specific information or communication support needs, please let us know in advance. Please ask our Reception Staff for a copy of the Policy.

All staff within the Practice are bound by our Information Governance and Caldicott Policy. For a copy of the Policy please ask our Reception Staff.

Our Doctors and Nurses work in partnership with Patients to enable them to receive the examination, care, treatment and support they agree to.

It is paramount that the Practice adheres to it's Policies and Protocols to ensure it governs information management effectively. The Practice has a robust consent policy; for a copy, please ask reception staff.

Violence Policy

The NHS operate a zero tolerance policy with regard to violence and abuse and the practice has the right to remove violent patients from the list with immediate effect in order to safeguard practice staff, patients and other persons. Violence in this context includes actual or threatened physical violence or verbal abuse which leads to fear for a person’s safety. In this situation we will notify the patient in writing of their removal from the list and record in the patient’s medical records the fact of the removal and the circumstances leading to it.

Safeguarding Children Policy

The aim of this policy is to ensure that, throughout the practice, children are protected from abuse and exploitation. We aim to achieve this by ensuring that Horsefair Surgery is a child-safe practice and that all members are aware of their responsibilities in safeguarding children.
